Review by VACATIONER for Embargo

Well, my husband and I returned to Embargo as planned for my birthday. The restaurant was unwilling to accept a reservation for two . The menu was extremely limited to fish items ( I am allergic ) and slightly cooked meats ( which I cannot eat due to health reasons) . When I asked the waiter if the meats had to be served rare to medium rare he said " that is the way they are prepared ". There was no attempt to accomodate my needs. The Spanish meatballs ( which were prepared more to my dietary constraints) were tasteless.I could not eat them. I had to search for another restaurant to eat on a busy Friday night . It would be hours before I had dinner.My birthday celebration in the Cape was marred with apathy and disappontment. I will never return to Embargo. NEVER !!!!What happended to the restaurant that I raved about on my vacation last year !!!!! It is obvious that the owner has taken a more hands- off approach .What a shame..... A very unhappy customer
