Review by GIWNH for Optimist Café

The dining room is noisy if there are many people in the room. It is hard to have a conversation, it's very noisy. It was 85 degrees outside, and about 80 degrees inside. It was very hot in the dining room. I ordered an iced teahini for 3.50, which came with no ice. If you brew tea with steamed water , the tea will taste bitter if the bag is left in for more than a minute. The teahini was very bitter. I asked for ice. 3:50 for a glass of no ice iced tea seems like a lot to me. I ordered a monte cristo for 9.00 and got just that. No pickle, chips, lettuce, or sliced apple to go with it. It was good, but more like a 6.00 Monte Cristo, not $9.00. The waiter was walking around with food in his mouth, always chewing something. I don't like it when the waiter is eating his lunch the same time I am. This is the third time I have been to the Optimist, hoping for a better experience. I will not go back, it's to expensive and noisy.
